LIFECOR(R), Inc. is pleased to announce that its LifeVest(TM) wearable defibrillator saved another life on August 6th, proving for the fourth time in a month the effectiveness of this innovation in cardiac care.
Grady Foster, 56, of Clemmons, NC, suffered a potentially fatal arrhythmia at 4 a.m. when the LifeVest administered a defibrillating shock that restored a normal rhythm. Foster did not feel the shock because he was unconscious at the time.
This latest event comes on the heels of two other successful conversions over the 4th of July. One of those two has since received a second successful shock, so the device has potentially saved his life twice this summer.
