Medical students in Britain often perform intimate examinations on sedated and anesthetized patients without their consent, researchers said on Friday.
A survey of more than 450 medical students at the University of Bristol Medical School revealed that up to a quarter of rectal and vaginal examinations are done without obtaining oral or written approval from the patient.
