The chief executive officer of Bayer AG says the German drug giant is open to settling some of the lawsuits filed after its cholesterol-lowering statin cerivastatin (Baycol) was withdraw from the market 1 year ago.
In an interview in the latest issue of the German weekly business magazine WirtschaftsWoche, chief executive Werner Wenning was asked whether he would be willing to settle directly with plaintiffs. He said: “In individual cases we are ready.”
