NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 19 – Sixteen hospitals have agreed to lead the nationwide roll-out of a campaign to reduce preventable medical errors, a patient safety advocacy group said on Friday.
The National Patient Safety Foundation said that the "founding" hospitals would serve as "laboratories" in addressing the problem of preventable medical errors. The foundation will announce the details of the initiative, called "Stand Up for Patient Safety," in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday.
