FRANKFURT, Germany (Reuters Health) Apr 19 – German pharmacists launched a major political and PR campaign Friday opposing the online sale and postal delivery of prescription drugs.
Germany law currently forbids postal delivery of prescription drugs, which makes it impossible to sell drugs online. But in recent months at least two dozen public health insurance companies have risked lawsuits by signing deals with Dutch-based online pharmacy 0800DocMorris.com, which they say sells drugs at least 10% cheaper on average than German retail pharmacies.
