PARIS (Reuters Health) Jul 02 –
Combining the antibiotic lymecycline with the synthetic retinoid analogue adapalene is a more effective treatment for acne vulgaris than lymecycline monotherapy, researchers said at the 20th World Congress of Dermatology.
Dr. William Cunliffe, with Leeds General Infirmary, UK, and colleagues in Belgium and France, studied 242 girls over 12 years of age with at least 15 inflammatory lesions, 20 non-inflammatory lesions and a global acne severity grade between 4 and 10.
