The National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) has changed recommendations on medications for children and certain other items in a revision of the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma.
On June 10th, the expert committee of NAEPP, which is coordinated by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), issued an executive summary of their updates. The guidelines were last revised in 1997.
