Power Doppler Sonography Valuable in Assessing Rheumatoid Arthritis

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Oct 08 –

Power Doppler sonography is useful in differentiating inflammatory from non-inflammatory changes in the joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, according to a report in the October Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases.

Power Doppler sonography can depict soft tissue vascular volumes in musculoskeletal inflammatory diseases, the authors explain, and may be helpful in evaluating inflammation and its response to treatment.
