NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 17 – Women who work during pregnancy have a significantly higher risk for hypertension and preeclampsia than nonworking mothers, Irish researchers report in the April issue of the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
Dr. J. R. Higgins from University College Cork, and colleagues collected data on 933 healthy normotensive primigravidas who participated a study measuring 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure between the 18th to 24th weeks of gestation.
