NEW YORK (Reuters Health) May 20 –
Reading a large number of books per week may increase the risk of developing higher myopia, according to a team of researchers from China and Singapore.
“Our results suggest that environmental risk factors play an important role in the development of myopia in Asian children and possibly children of other ethnic origins as well,” Dr. Seang-Mei Saw, of the National University of Singapore, told Reuters Health.
