NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Mar 22 – In a pilot trial of cryotherapy for the treatment of small, growing choroidal melanocytic tumors, multiple treatment sessions appeared to completely destroy the tumors while potentially maintaining good visual acuity.
"Up until now, the mainstays of treatment have been irradiation for most choroidal melanomas, and occasionally enucleation," Dr. Michael L. Klein told Reuters Health.
