Women who develop lymphedema after breast cancer removal and axillary lymph node dissection report poorer quality of life compared with similar women without lymphedema, researchers report.
In a retrospective study, Dr. Wayne W. LaMorte and colleagues from Boston University Medical Center, studied the association between quality of life and lymphedema in 151 women successfully treated for early-stage breast cancer.
