Yondelis, a marine anti-cancer drug being developed by Spanish firm Zeltia, can make cancer cells more sensitive to treatment with cisplatin, according to preclinical research reported on Wednesday.
In mouse studies, Dr. Maurizio D’Incalci from Milan’s Mario Negri Institute and others showed that Yondelis, or ET-743, helped overcome cisplatin resistance in human ovarian cancer cells that had been grafted into mice.
