Patients with non small-cell lung cancer are more likely to survive longer if they have high levels of a so-called “repair gene,” scientists told the 14th EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Wednesday.
In a study of patients who had undergone surgery for non small-cell lung cancer, they found that those with high levels of the gene, ERCC1, had the longest survival time.
