Restrictions imposed on the use of colorectal cancer drugs in Britain has caused an uproar among oncologists, according to an editorial in the Friday issue of The Lancet Oncology.
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recently issued guidance that xaliplatin and irinotecan could not be used, either alone or in combination with fluorouracil, for first-line treatment of non-metastatic cancers.
