SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters Health) Apr 10 – PC-SPES, an over-the-counter supplement promoted as an herbal treatment for prostate cancer, contains indomethacin and diethylstilbestrol (DES), which explains the product's beneficial effect, according to results of an analysis of the product's components.
The findings were reported here on Tuesday in a late-breaking research session at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research.
