A top European court on Tuesday overturned a European Commission ban on amphetamine-like anti-obesity drugs, saying the EU executive had failed to provide new evidence that they may not work.
The Court of First Instance annulled a Commission decision ordering the withdrawal of marketing authorisations for the medicines, which have been used for many years to treat obesity by accelerating the feeling of having had enough to eat.
