A small open-label study of infliximab in 27 patients with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis has been published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.
A dose of 5mg/kg was given and the need for repeat infusions was determined by the treating doctor based on the patient’s clinical response. Disease status and response was assessed using a modified disease activity index (DAI- 10 point scale from no symptoms to severe disease)
