In a murine model of early colorectal liver metastasis, the addition of angiostatin or endostatin to conventional chemotherapy enhanced antitumoral efficacy compared with conventional chemotherapy alone.
“These results support the concept that combined cytotoxic and antiangiogenic therapy may improve results in the treatment of microscopic colorectal liver metastases,” Dr. E. A. te Velde and colleagues from University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands, write in the October issue of the British Journal of Surgery
