A German research center has begun looking into medicine-enriched clothes that could treat a variety of conditions, a researcher said on Thursday.
Dirk Hoefer, senior researcher at Germany’s Hohenstein medical research center, said his team is developing micro-capsules that could be woven into clothes to treat skin diseases such as eczema. The capsules would be activated on contact with the patient’s skin, he added.
