Full-term babies who are breastfed could have their own distinct plasma glucose levels and show no significant variation during the first three days of life, Indian researchers report.
“Biochemical thresholds for hypoglycaemia do not seem to be of practical importance in asymptomatic, normal, term breastfed infants,” say investigators from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Karnataka.
