Serum homocysteine levels are positively associated with blood pressure and with the risk of hypertension, findings reported in the December 15th issue of the American Journal of Epidemiology indicate.
Dr. Patricia A. Cassano and a colleague from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, used cross-sectional data from the third National Health and Nutrition Examination to investigate the association of homocysteine with blood pressure and hypertension risk.
