A live, attenuated human rotavirus vaccine appears safe and effective after 2 years of follow-up in healthy infants, according to a report in the November 15th issue of The Journal of Infectious Diseases.
An earlier tetravalent rhesus-human reassortant rotavirus vaccine was also effective, the authors explain, but it was withdrawn after being associated with the development of intussusception
