Naloxone Response Differs in Lean and Obese Women With PCOS

Opioid blockade with naloxone prompts different responses in lean and obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Italian researchers report in the November issue of Fertility and Sterility.

As lead investigator Dr. Maurizio Guido told Reuters Health, “several studies in the literature suggested that anti-opioid treatment in these subjects could improve the insulinemic derangement typical of this syndrome.”
