Treating chronic plaque psoriasis with narrowband ultraviolet B phototherapy three times weekly rather than twice can significantly improve clearance times, according to a new UK study.
The study, by researchers at the University of Dundee’s department of dermatology, shows that the more intensive regimen can shorten the time to clear a patient’s skin from an average of 88 days on twice-weekly therapy to just 58 days.
