NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Oct 08 –
The brain volume in children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) appears to be approximately 3% smaller than that of healthy controls without ADHD, according to a report published in the October 9th issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Longitudinal data from the study indicate that the factors that influence brain development in children with ADHD appear to be fixed, nonprogressive, and not affected by stimulant use.
