NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Oct 04 –
Classic cesarean sections are associated with higher maternal and perinatal morbidity rates than low transverse or inverted T cesareans, according to a report published in the October issue of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Previous reports have suggested higher complication rates with classic C-sections, but most studies examining the issue have including less than 100 classic cesarean deliveries. Furthermore, only one study has ever included inverted T cesareans in the analysis.
