More than a third of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients are not compliant with the erythropoietin (EPO) regimen they have been prescribed, according to a report published in the September issue of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases.
Dr. Lori D. Wazny, from the London Health Sciences Center in Ontario, Canada, and colleagues reviewed questionnaire results and pharmacy records from 54 PD patients to determine compliance with a subcutaneous EPO regimen.
