Cellegy Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Thursday that the peer-reviewed results of an initial phase III trial of its Cellegesic nitroglycerin ointment have been published in the September 2002 issue of the journal Diseases of the Colon & Rectum.
The company said the study results show that its drug for chronic anal fissures provided effective pain relief.
