NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 10 – Results of a population-based study, by Spanish researchers, suggests that men with a history of vigorous sports activity are at increased risk of developing lone atrial fibrillation (AF).
Dr. Llu s Mont, from the Hospital Cl nic Universitari de Barcelona, and colleagues reviewed the hospital records of 1160 arrhythmia patients. Among these patients, 70 had lone AF with no structural heart disease and were younger than 65 years of age.
