Bayer and GlaxoSmithKline said on Monday that a long-term trial of their impotence drug Levitra (vardenafil) shows it can boost men’s chances of being able to have sex more than fivefold and is generally well tolerated.
The companies, which plan to launch the drug in Europe early next year in competition against Pfizer’s Viagra (sildenafil), had previously only reported short-term trial results.
