Men are more likely than women to develop obstructive sleep apnea, and new research suggests that differences in pharyngeal airway length may explain this finding.
Dr. Atul Malhotra, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and colleagues discovered that the pharyngeal airway tends to be much longer in men than in women.
