Scandinavian researchers have found that young women with irregular menses had a 61% higher risk of developing asthma. “There are many causes of irregular menses, of which some may be unrelated and other strongly related to asthma,” presenting researcher Dr. Cecilie Svanes of Haukeland Hospital, Bergen, Norway, told meeting attendees.
