Patients with moderate persistent asthma do not benefit from short-term acupuncture therapy, according to a report in the May issue of Chest.
Dr. Raphael Breuer and colleagues, from Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, examined the efficacy of acupuncture treatment in 23 patients with moderate persistent asthma who had been treated with inhaled beta-2-agonists.
