NEW YORK, NY (Reuters Health) Mar 21 – Multimeric zanamivir shows efficacy in mice for the treatment of human influenza after administration of a single dose, researchers reported at the International Conference on Antiviral Research in Prague, Czech Republic.
Using new technology, "we've generated a new class of neuraminidase inhibitors which offer the prospect of a single dose for the treatment and a once weekly dose for the prevention of human influenza A & B," Dr. Simon P. Tucker of Biota Holdings Limited told Reuters Health
