Women with a history of depression are more likely to experience menopausal symptoms at an earlier age, suggests the results of a study reported in the January issue of the Archives of General Psychiatry.
The Harvard Study of Moods and Cycles found that those with the most severe depressive symptoms who were receiving antidepressants had the greatest risk of an earlier perimenopause.
