Cognitive training interventions with elderly individuals produced significant improvements in memory, reasoning ability and speed of processing that were durable for at least 2 years, according to a report in the November 13th issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Furthermore, according to the ACTIVE (Advanced Cognitive Training for Independent and Vital Elderly) trial study group, the magnitude of training effects suggests that such interventions “have the potential to reverse age-related decline.”
