Until basic environmental issues are dealt with, improved personal behaviors and medical care will have limited impact on childhood asthma, according to researchers.
In the November issue of Chest, Dr. Michelle M. Cloutier and colleagues from the University of Connecticut Health Center describe the system of pediatric asthma care in Hartford, a medium-sized, low-income city with a predominantly minority population.
