Results of a preliminary study suggest that a new technique can painlessly correct prominent pinnae in young children, according to a report in the December issue of the Archives of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
Called the “Auri method,” developed by Drs. Michael Miravet Sorribes and Mirko Tos, of the Gentofte University Hospital in Hellerup, Denmark, the technique uses a plastic clamp during the night and a nearly invisible double adhesive strip placed behind the ear during the day.
