The risk of cognitive impairment is not heightened in children who have migraine, pediatricians in Germany suggest.
Dr. Fritz Haverkamp and associates at the University of Bonn comment in their report in the September issue of Headache that evidence regarding neuropsychological sequelae among individuals with migraine has been inconsistent. Hence, they were motivated to compare the intellectual development of children with migraine with that of their migraine-free siblings.
