Training programs that involve multiple family groups may help ward off conduct disorder and aggression in young children in high-risk neighborhoods, according to Dr. Patrick H. Tolan, speaking here at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
This finding, as well as other educational programs and studies showing the potential of medication for aggressive children, are signs that conduct disorder researchers are understanding the problem more thoroughly and beginning to develop some feasible solutions, he said.
