Children exposed to measles and influenza infections around the time of birth may be at increased risk for childhood brain tumours, according to the results of a large British epidemiological study.
The findings support other research linking perinatal infections with brain tumours, and could mean that avoiding these infections could reduce cancer rates, the researchers suggest.
