NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 30 – Despite good control of the disease, patients treated for early-stage Hodgkin's disease have a sustained risk of excess mortality, according to a report in the April 15th issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Peter M. Mauch, of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, and colleagues examined the long-term survival and competing causes of mortality in 1080 patients treated before age 50 for stage IB or IIB Hodgkin's disease.
