NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Contrary to what is seen in children and middle-aged adults, orbital tumors in older adults are often malignant and life-threatening, according to a report in the February issue of Ophthalmology.
The incidence of orbital tumors is known to increase with increasing age, the authors explain, but little is known about the spectrum of orbital tumors in the adult population aged 60 years or older.
