The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a final guidance document designed to help blood centers deal appropriately with donors who have or may have West Nile Virus infection.
The guidance states that the FDA is not currently recommending changes to the standard procedures in response to the threat of the mosquito-borne virus.
