Two reports, published in the November 28th issue of The New England Journal of Medicine, reach different conclusions regarding whether elevated mercury levels are associated with an increased risk of coronary heart disease in men.

Michael Bolger and Dr. B. A. Schwetz, from the FDA in College Park, Maryland, note in a related editorial. However, it is unclear if this recommendation should also extend to other populations.
