NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Apr 02 – After acute myocardial infarction (MI), the reduction in mortality risk is about the same for elderly patients who receive nonaspirin nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as for those who receive aspirin, according to the results of a retrospective database analysis. Moreover, the addition of aspirin to NSAID therapy yields no additional survival benefit.
