NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Jun 24 –
Lamivudine effectively suppresses hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA levels, whereas amciclovir
is significantly less effective, according to a report in the July Journal of Medical Virology.

explain, and in vitro studies suggest that famciclovir and lamivudine could synergistically
inhibit HBV replication.
