Britain’s cost-effectiveness watchdog has recommended that tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) be considered as an option for women with stress incontinence being treated by the National Health Service.
In a final appraisal document published online on Friday, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) said Ethicon’s Gynecare TVT device should be available “for women with uncomplicated urodynamic stress incontinence in whom conservative management has failed.”
