The latest efforts on the part of the British government to increase the number of family doctors in the country’s overstretched heath system has been welcomed by the British Medical Association as being “generally good.”
The government said on Friday that an extension of a flexible career scheme, together with increases in bonus payments to doctors starting as general practitioners, would encourage the recruitment and retention of general practitioners.
